• Assemble and align free-space optical components, including lenses, mirrors, and other optical elements.
• Perform optical system integration and troubleshooting, ensuring all components meet specifications and performance standards.
• Use precision tools and equipment such as microscopes and optical mounts to assemble and test the laser head.
• Conduct tests on finished assemblies to ensure functionality, optical performance, and alignment.
• Document assembly processes, test results, and any issues encountered during assembly.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve issues and improve assembly procedures.
• Follow company standards for safety and quality control throughout the assembly process.
• Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime are essential functions of this job.

• Technical school graduate or equivalent experience
• Competent in the use of optical measurement tools, gauges, and meters.
• Craftsman skill level with assembly hand tools and light power tools.
• Neat, accurate, and consistent work.
• Works well independently and assumes responsibility for own work.
• Attention to detail and ability to retain communicated information.
• Appropriate communication skills to convey information to other associates and supervisors.
• Understands when to request guidance from superiors and the proper chain of command.
