Utility Worker

Location: South Deerfield

With a base hourly rate of $21.00/hr, our Utility Workers will keep the extruder fed with the resin mixture by adding, blending, and drying the batch resin components. You will follow set up guidelines and training documents, ensure material recipes are followed, package finished goods, and palletize materials for shipping. Our Utility Workers will operate fork trucks as needed, maintain a clean and organized work environment, perform interactive safety training, and always wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Keep extruder fed with resin mixture by accurately adding, blending, and drying the batch resin components.
• Follow Set up guidelines and training documentation.
• Ensure material recipes are followed.
• Test resin samples
• Supply/Cut packaging supplies
• Package finished roll goods, palletize materials for shipping
• Operate fork truck as needed
• Maintain clean work environment by adhering to job/area specific housekeeping standards
• Performs interactive safety training
• Ensure that Safety and Health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities
• Adheres to ISO procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates

Education Requirements:

• High School Degree or equivalent
• Experience with Microsoft Suite Programs preferred

Work Experience:

• At least 1 year Manufacturing Experience preferred

Aptitudes & Characteristics:

• Must have the ability to frequently squat, bend and reach below shoulder level.
• Must have the ability to occasionally climb, push, pull and reach above shoulder level.
• Must have the ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
• Must have the ability to sand and walk for 8+ hours a day.
• Must possess great decision-making skills and have precise attention to detail
• Must has a positive "can do" attitude and a sense of accountability; takes initiative
• Must be a fast learner, driven and self-motivated; strive towards continuous improvement
