About the RoleMAI seeks a Director of Residential Life to lead and oversee a world-class residential program that promotes safety, well-being, belonging, and character formation. This leader serves as the senior steward of student life outside the classroom, ensuring that boarding is caring, structured, and supportive within a high-performing environment. The Director is responsible for the holistic care of boarding students-academic, physical, social, and emotional-while ensuring compliance with safeguarding and boarding standards.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this leader helps shape institutional strategy and aligns residential life with MAI's values and long-term vision. This role requires stamina, sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and executive presence. The ideal candidate is highly visible, relational, culturally adept, and experienced in leading complex residential communities.
What You Will DoThe Director of Residential Life provides strategic and hands-on leadership for MAI's boarding program, ensuring an exceptional residential experience grounded in safety, well-being, belonging, and character development. This leader oversees the holistic care of boarding students-academic, physical, social, and emotional-while maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding, compliance, and operational excellence. Responsible for residential culture, staffing, programming, and facilities, the Director cultivates a structured, nurturing, and high-performing community aligned with MAI's values.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director partners closely with academic, athletic, health, and operational leaders to deliver integrated student support and advance the school's strategic priorities. Serving as a visible and trusted presence for students and families, the Director ensures that boarding at MAI is not only well-managed, but truly transformative.

Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range is $100,000. Benefits for eligible roles include medical, life insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, and more.
