Overview

Position Summary... What you'll do:
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Tour-to-Teach, communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Lead change efforts, provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicate business objectives to teams. Model exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, manage and support customer service initiatives, and ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved.

Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies and provide process-improvement leadership for a high-quality customer experience.

Drive financial performance and sales for the designated store area by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitor and ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a sense of belonging.

  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by building relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs.
  • Identify and communicate goals and objectives, establish accountability, measure progress, and address improvement opportunities while demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing performance, and fostering a belonging mindset.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethics by implementing related action plans, supporting the Open Door Policy, and guiding the execution of business processes and practices.
  • Promote respect for individuals, build high-performing teams, embrace differences, and create a culture of belonging where all associates can thrive.
  • Act with integrity, model Walmart values, and support the company's goal of becoming a regenerative company through positive impact in the community and the workplace.
  • Deliver customer-focused results by applying EDLP/EDLC business models and considering customers, associates, shareholders, suppliers, partners, and communities in planning.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
: 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of CBC and Firearms Authorized Training may be required. For facilities selling only ammunition with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.

Associates must attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications
:
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; certificate of completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising 5+ direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Benefits and Additional Information

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 – $80,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Some positions may have additional compensation such as regional pay zones or complex structure, depending on location and external…
