Operations Manager
A transportation authority based in Martha’s Vineyard, MA is looking to hire an Operations Manager on a permanent basis.
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr.
This role requires full‑time relocation to Martha’s Vineyard. The company provides discounted housing options on‑island.
ResponsibilitiesThe person in this role will oversee day‑to‑day business operations for the public transit organization, which includes staffing, onboarding, planning, budgeting, employee disciplinary issues, training, credentialing, scheduling, working with union issues, and more. It is a hands‑on leadership role; the manager may also need to jump in to drive a bus route during emergency situations.
Qualifications- Able to relocate to Martha’s Vineyard for a full‑time role
- 5+ years prior experience in public transportation/transit industry
- Prior leadership/supervisory experience
- Experience working with a unionized workforce
- Clean driving record and able to secure a Commercial Driver’s License
- Medical insurance
- 401(k)
