Granite City Electric Supply is the area's premiere electrical distributor serving electrical contractors as well as residential, commercial and industrial customers for over 100 years. With over 30 branches covering Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and Connecticut, we are the largest regional independent electrical supply company and the official distributor of electrical supplies to the Boston Red Sox.

Salary for this position is $75,000 or more, commensurate with experience.

• Proactively manages and develops accounts in the area to maximize sales.
• Train, supervise and coach employees in products, procedures and selling skills and facilitate development of their potential.
• Delegates and assigns duties as necessary for the smooth and efficient running of the facility/general maintenance.
• Responsible for inventory control.
• Keeps employees informed and up to date about the Company, product and code changes, local trends and the economic situations that affect the industry.
• Provides customer quotations and product information as requested.
• Promotes teamwork and interdepartmental cooperation.
• Analyzes situations, identifies problems, evaluates alternative courses of action.
• Demonstrates a focus on improving quality of staff and systems.
• Gives and receives feedback and evaluation as an improvement tool.
• Sets measurable goals and evaluates achievement of those goals.
• P & L responsibility.

• A minimum of three years in a sales/supervisory capacity is a must, preferably at an electrical distributor.
• Business, construction and/or electrical industry exposure is a must.
• Flexible and adaptable to business needs and conditions.
• Possesses and demonstrates effective leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Passion to continually improve processes and relationships.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and the ability to use an ERP.

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent proven experience is required for the position.
