Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Overview

Cushing Academy, a culturally diverse residential boarding school serving 9th grade through post-grad in Ashburnham, Massachusetts, seeks a housekeeper who will provide excellent and dedicated service, maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for those who work and live on campus.

• Conduct all aspects of cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and washing floors; cleaning all interior furnishings, including upholstery; cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and bathrooms; vacuuming and washing carpets; removing trash/recycling.
• At the end of each school year and summer session, complete the interior cleaning of student and common areas.
• May be required to work weekends, nights, and special functions as assigned.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, operate floor machines, and climb and work off a ladder.
• Must be able to carry loads up and down multiple flights of stairs.
• Must be able to bend, squat, lift, and turn without restriction.
• This is a full-time day shift position, 6 am – 2 pm. This position is based on a minimum of a forty-hour workweek unless stated otherwise upon employment.
