Summary
The Human Resources Generalist supports site operations with strong employee relations, recruiting, and onboarding execution. The role focuses on daily HR support, employee engagement, and operational coordination across all functions. The HRG builds trust with employees, communicates with clarity, protects confidentiality, and delivers consistent follow-through. Strong organization, judgment, and problem-solving drive success in this role.
What you’ll be doing- Manage full-cycle hourly recruiting: sourcing, coordinating interviews, partnering with hiring managers, supporting selections, and driving onboarding and pre-hire steps.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for employees and managers, providing daily employee relations support, answering inquiries, directing employees appropriately, and escalating issues to HR Manager when necessary.
- Support internal investigations, corrective action processes, and documentation.
- Leads the coordination and delivery of new hire orientation and supports site‑wide engagement events and activities.
- Support HR communications across the site through email, Connect, and posted materials.
- Maintain accurate employee data and documentation in Thrive and shared HR systems.
- Monitor attendance, leaves, and related documentation in partnership with managers.
- Assist with safety initiatives and reinforce safe work practices across departments.
- Build strong relationships with employees at all levels through visibility on the floor and proactive support.
- Follow issues from start to finish with timely updates and clear resolution.
- Support HR programs including performance reviews, IDPs, merit cycles, and training coordination.
- Maintain organized HR files, trackers, and workflows.
- Serve as a resource to managers by guiding them through HR processes.
- Uphold confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or another related field. OR 5+ years preferably in manufacturing.
- Experience managing hourly recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement programs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly.
- High attention to detail, strong time management, and follow-through.
- Ability to problem-solve, mediate conflict, and support employees with clarity and fairness.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Proficiency in HRIS System like ADP, Thrive, Microsoft Office, and standard HR workflows.
