The pay for this position starts at $19/hour, with additional compensation added for years of relevant experience up to $21.66/hour.

This position is located in Rutland, MA.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 5:30am-1:30pm with some flexibility.

Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island provides individualized treatment for children, adolescents and young adults with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences. As a Housekeeper you will:

• Use and understand various chemicals and their application to sanitation. Keep supplies neat, orderly, and securely away from individuals.
• Be able to read and follow written and verbal task assignments for each assigned area. Monitor condition of assigned areas and reports any concerns or damage to supervisor.
• Collect and wash soiled linens from assigned buildings.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks as assigned, including but not limited to disinfecting bathrooms and food/dining areas, etc.
• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks as assigned, including but not limited to shampooing carpets, cleaning air vents, buffing tile, etc.
• Complete as-needed cleaning tasks as assigned, including but not limited to, replenishing toiletries, vacuuming common areas, cleaning messes, etc.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license required
• Ablility to lift 50+ lbs
• Ability to work on feet 95% of the day and perform repetitive motion
• Previous experience in housekeeping/maintenance preferred
• Ability to complete 2 weeks orientation training, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, in Rutland.
