Director of Rehab – Full‑time position at Athena Health Care Systems (Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Centerville).
Shift 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. with weekly pay, up to $60 per hour depending on license and experience. Cape Regency is a 120‑bed skilled nursing facility.
We are hiring a dynamic Director of Rehabilitation (Therapy) to lead our rehab program. In this department head role, you will manage overall administration, clinical planning, development, marketing, and operations of the rehab program, and direct staff in providing services to patients, residents, and clients.
Education & Experience- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech/Language Pathology.
- Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professions required.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of clinical experience required.
- One (1) to two (2) years of supervisory experience with multi‑disciplines preferred.
- Ensure quality and appropriateness of patient care meets or exceeds company and industry standards, and that all rehab services comply with state and federal legal, regulatory, accreditation, and reimbursement guidelines.
- Direct and assess scheduling of patients/residents for therapy services considering available treatment hours, staff resources, and overall plan of care.
- Participate in team meetings to formulate treatment plans, discuss progress and discharge planning, and attend family/caregiver conferences as needed.
- Review therapist documentation practices for clarity, conciseness, and consistency with patient outcome goals and payor expectations.
- Maintain a clinical caseload as needed.
- Generate and analyze financial, operational, and productivity reports as required; contribute to the development of the annual operating and capital budget.
- Ensure that weekly and monthly statistics, patient outcome data, and billing logs are accurate, complete, and reported in a timely manner.
- Maintain sufficient staffing by responding to changes and ensuring appropriate levels of professional and paraprofessional staff and maintaining the clinical skill levels needed for the program in accordance with budgetary and company guidelines.
- Supervise program staff in daily program operations and clinical activities; monitor staff efficiencies and routinely provide feedback, continuously promoting interdisciplinary clinical reasoning skills and best practices within rehabilitation.
- Initiate coordination of program development activities with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, Medical Director, and other department directors to introduce new and relevant services for the persons served and the community.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Ability to function effectively in multi‑faced systems and interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
- Must be knowledgeable in the Privacy Rule and ensure all staff comply with facility Privacy Practices policies and procedures.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
