The Barton Center for Diabetes Education is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering children living with Type 1 diabetes through transformative camp experiences. This is an on-site, temporary position located in North Oxford, MA for a Health Care Team member. Responsibilities include administering medical care, supporting diabetes management for campers, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, and collaborating with other team members for effective care delivery. The role involves direct interaction with youth and requires maintaining accurate health records, responding to emergencies, and assisting with health education during camp activities.
Qualifications- EMT certification and foundational knowledge of healthcare practices or Nursing Student with one clinical rotation completed
- MA RN or LPN
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with others, including children, families, and team members
- Training and experience in medical or healthcare settings
- Background in diabetes management or similar medical conditions is a plus
- Ability to work in a supportive, team-oriented environment
- Certification or licensure in medicine or healthcare is an advantage
