Essential Functions- Restock medications into the Automated Dispensing System (ADS) on a weekly or as-needed basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Verify medication deliveries against invoices, DEA 222 forms, and packing slips.
- Monitor and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and records.
- Ensure all medications stocked are within proper expiration dates to reduce waste and support patient safety.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and facility regulations regarding medication handling and documentation.
- Collaborate with remote systems support staff as necessary for technical or inventory-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of restocked medications and inventory levels.
- Properly handle and document controlled substances in accordance with DEA regulations.
- Report discrepancies, expired medications, or procedural issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesEducation, Licensure or Certification:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
D) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharmacy) from an accredited institution - Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the State of Maryland, in good standing
Work Experience or Related
Experience:
- Previous experience working with automated dispensing systems (e.g., Omnicell, Pyxis) is highly desirable
- Experience in mail-order pharmacy, long-term care pharmacy, or hospital pharmacy settings is a plus
- Familiarity with DEA regulations and inventory management best practices
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Equipment:
- Working knowledge of a PC, business and communications software (MS Office) and web-based tools are required
May involve occasional travel between facility locations if applicable.
Work Environment, Conditions and Demands- Work is generally performed in a climate‑controlled smoke‑free office facility
- Onsite presence required during designated facility operating hours (flexible scheduling available)
- Must have the ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend and reach; lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
- Requires visual acuity to read labels, lot numbers, expiration dates, and computer screens (close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus)
