About the RoleOpen Sky supports adults with developmental and intellectual challenges who are referred by the Department of Developmental Services. Our mission is to provide homes that are safe, nurturing, and address each individual’s personal needs and preferences. Every resident is encouraged to play an active role in community life—through volunteering, taking classes, participating in group outings, or joining a health club—while our dedicated staff ensures they have the necessary supports to build a successful, satisfying life.
Descriptionand Responsibilities
The Residential Counselor supports individuals diagnosed with a Developmental Disability to live as independently as possible while providing evidence‑based treatment and care in a group living environment. Counselors provide guidance, support, and perform activities of daily living, ensuring health, safety, and well‑being for all residents. They are strong advocates for the people served and promote community integration.
OtherKey Responsibilities
- Assist in developing individualized, person‑centered treatment plans and play a lead role in daily implementation plans.
- Implement all procedures that ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of residents and maintain cleanliness and safety of the physical site.
- Assist individuals to access and/or provide transportation.
- Review and complete all required documentation.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, required.
- Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.
USD $20.00/hr.
