This is a full-time year-round position with a robust benefits package including Education and Fitness Incentives and Signing Bonus, and an in-house fitness facility. The starting base pay range is $32.58 - $44.72 per hour ($2,606.40 to $3,577.60 bi-weekly) depending on experience. The position of Police Officer requires that applicants pass an extensive background check, and physical, drug, and psychological testing. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a college degree is highly desirable. Candidates with full time Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC) academy certification, Massachusetts POST Certification, and prior public safety experience are strongly preferred, but neither certification nor prior service is required.
