Environmental Engineer, Environmental Compliance
Purpose
We are seeking a highly technical and experienced Senior Environmental Engineer to provide environmental compliance leadership across our Mayville, WI, Dillon, SC, and North Grafton, MA manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overall management and supervision of the company’s environmental programs and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
Essential Job Functions- Execution of all environmental policies
- Regulatory compliance and permit management
- Design, construction, and operation of air and water pollution control systems
- Training workforce on all applicable environmental programs
- Sampling, monitoring, and reporting to regulatory agencies
- Implementation of programs to reduce risks and costs of managing hazardous waste Analysis of manufacturing processes and development of compliance‑engineered solutions
- Representation of business operations to regulatory agencies and securing necessary permits
- Select, train, and motivate qualified staff to achieve and maintain compliance
- BS degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
- 5+ years of direct environmental engineering experience in manufacturing and/or aerospace environments
- Travel as required between locations (~50%)
- Demonstrated experience with hazardous waste management, air pollution control systems, wastewater operations, stormwater permitting, EPCRA TRI, and general environmental permitting
- Broad knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, multi‑state
- Strong project management and capital project experience
- Ability to formulate technical reports and communicate internally and externally
- Thorough understanding of the company’s manufacturing processes, organization, and culture and business goals

- Solid understanding of safety, industrial hygiene, and engineering principles and ability to apply to the company’s operation
- Ability to assess the plant’s current EHS compliance issues and recommend solutions to protect employees and foster company success
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $100,400 to $135,000 US Dollar (USD). Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off and 11 paid holidays. The company offers medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance and a 401(k) plan.
