Samuel Staples Elementary School has several openings for special education para educators commencing with the school year.
HoursMonday-Friday, 6.25 hours per day when school is in session for students and one day prior to students returning to school after the summer break (181 days per school year).
Qualifications- Previous experience working with young children in a school setting a plus
- Must be flexible, creative, have a good sense of humor, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Must be highly motivated and self-directed
Per collective bargaining unit agreement. Comprehensive benefits. Salary in range of $18.00/hour to $19.87/hour, or commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities- Assist student in one-to-one instruction and/or provide support for special education students in the general education classroom
- Implement IEP goals as directed by the Special Education teacher
- Collect data regarding student performance in the resource room and/or general education classroom
