Overview
Job Position: K-5 After School Educators (Part Time Position) - PREFERRED 5 days a week/ (approx. 23 hours/wk.) - 2 & 3 day/wk options, too! Previous experience working with groups of children aged 5–11 in a school or camp setting is preferred

- Cabot After School Program (CASP) is an enrichment program serving students from Cabot Elementary School in kindergarten through 5th grade.
- CASP complements the public school learning experience by offering children plenty of physical exercises as well as creative outlets in the arts.
- We provide outstanding age-appropriate activities for children to spend time together and foster lasting friendships in a relaxed, fun, and structured environment.

- $21-$25 an hour, depending on education and experience (partial benefits offered).
- Cabot After School Program (CASP), located at the Cabot School, 229 Cabot Street, Newtonville, MA.
- Available positions include part-time educators and one-on-one support positions to provide an inclusive experience for students of all abilities.
- Candidates should be mature, motivated, and creative!
- Previous experience working with groups of children aged 5–11 in a school or camp setting is preferred.
- HS diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Dependability is a priority.
- Collaboratively leading groups of students.
- Supporting social/emotional development.
- Creating curriculum in areas of the arts, STEAM, and recreation.
- Supporting student academics & reading.
- Supervising and participating in "Freeplay".
- We offer some flexibility when working with the semester schedules of students.
- Max. of 23 hours/week + weekly staff meetings.
- Following Newton Public School Calendar Year.
- 2:15-6p M, T, Th, Fr. (plus one additional half hour for a team meeting).
- 10:30-6p Wednesdays. Staff meetings 10:30-11:30, Kids arrive @ 12:20 (1:30-3 pm "CLUBS").
- "Early Release" Days (9/25, 10/28, 12/4, 2/5, 3/19, 5/7) 11:30am arrival.
- 1 monthly evening full staff meeting, 6-7:30 pm.
- Mandatory Orientation Dates:
August 25th-28th.
