ES Scoring Assistant – History – MA (Remote)
Join Pearson’s Evaluation Systems team to score Massachusetts teacher candidate responses for History and Middle School Humanities. The role is remote and offers flexibility in scheduling.

- Evaluate candidate responses to state test questions.
- Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities.
- Recognize and discuss various types of bias (implicit, cultural, leniency, central tendency, halo) and implement strategies to reduce personal bias.
- Meet quality and productivity requirements, including passing a qualifying test before scoring.
Scoring sessions occur two weekdays per month from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m., including training. Training and a brief orientation are provided before scoring.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Current History or Middle School Humanities teaching license and recent experience teaching History at the middle or high school level, or recent college‑level teaching experience in the field.
- Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse).
- Ability to sit for extended periods and maintain confidentiality.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
