The pay for this position starts at $20.50/hour, with additional compensation added for higher education and/or years of relevant experience up to $23.87/hour. The schedule for this position is Monday‑Friday, 9:00am‑3:00pm – perfect for caregivers! This position is located in Rutland, MA.
Devereux – Massachusetts serves students with various complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Based in Rutland, MA, the Devereux Day school serves individuals age 6 through 21 who present with issues such as disruptive behaviors, mood/anxiety disorders, complex trauma, or abuse‑reactive behaviors. The team supports students in grades K‑12 and beyond as they work toward diplomas and learn vocational, transitional, and social‑emotional skills.
Our students have typically experienced multiple academic failures, most often resulting from a wide variety of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The help you provide will make a difference in their lives!
- Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
- Be responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned by providing direct supervision.
- Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
- Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and providing positive reinforcement for the same.
- Teach and assist with Activities of Daily (ADL) Living Skills.
- Possess adequate organizational and communication skills needed to complete required documentation, such as progress notes and incident reports.

- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- High School diploma or GED required;
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. - Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.
- Must be able to attend a 2‑week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA.
