Our well-established practices are looking for a Full-Time Dental Hygienist to join our supportive clinical and administrative team members. Our practice draws patient population throughout state, which includes families that have been with us for generations. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect and document medical and dental histories from patients.

• Evaluates overall oral health, examining for any signs & symptoms of disease.

• Chart dental conditions based on dentist’s observations and evaluations

• Follows through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist. Procedures may include Prophylaxis, Periodontal Scaling, Root Planning, Debridement, Application of Fluoride Treatment, etc.

• Sterilize dental instruments and tools

• Instruct patients of all ages on proper dental hygiene and care

• Take X-rays of patients’ teeth when necessary

• Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures

• Document lab procedures and ensures follow up on results

• Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist

• Active CPR (BLS) Certification

• Ability to prepare dental equipment and instruments

• Excellent working knowledge of overall dentistry and dental hygiene procedures, expertise in brushing and flossing techniques

• Familiarity with Dental software

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
