Mountain Ambassador – Telluride Ski & Golf

Position begins when we open for the season. The role involves assisting guests throughout the ski area to ensure satisfaction.

• Very flexible and able to deal with guests and employees in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Must be able to write legibly and use good composition for paperwork.
• Willing to learn and adapt to change.
• Full knowledge of prices, programs, scheduled events, reports, and where to find them.
• Open‑minded and helpful.
• Good communication skills for disseminating information to guests.
• Able to stand for scheduled shifts and outdoors in winter conditions for several hours.
• Able to handle people milling about you.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance.

• Greet and dispense information to all guests; approach guests, inquire about questions, respond professionally.
• Remain at assigned location until replacement arrives.
• Distribute trail and snow reports to all designated locations.
• Assist guests attending races, promotional events, and other special events as needed.
• Assist with maintaining a neat lodge and grounds.
• Assist in parking and/or group bus loading/unloading processes.

Be prepared to step up and take charge of guest concerns; the phrase “I Don’t Know” does not exist. If you don’t know, use “Let me find out for you.” Busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods; you will be expected to work those times. Providing a solid availability calendar and attending all scheduled days is paramount.

• Name tag must always be worn—no exceptions.
• Must be neat and clean—overall approachable appearance.
• Uniforms suitable for both indoor and outdoor work will be provided and must be worn during scheduled shifts.
