As an Anchor
, you are the face of a story, connecting audiences with the news that matters to their communities. You’re also a leader behind the scenes, playing an active role in editorial discussions and decisions. You play a critical role on a collaborative team that creates compelling, timely, and accurate content intended to engage and connect with viewers across traditional and digital platforms.

Required Qualifications

• Experience
  :
  Television news anchoring - 5-7 years
• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field or comparable television work experience
• Technical Skills
  :
  Experience in live shooting and editing news
• Skills
  :
  Excellent on‑air camera skills, ability to work under pressure
• Abilities
  :
  Leadership skills, capable of managing multiple priorities as well of a proactive problem‑solver, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds
• Travel Ability
  :
  Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
• Schedule
  :
  Work different shifts or longer shifts due to 'breaking news' and severe weather emergencies and able to work weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a 24-hour news channel

Working Conditions

• Works inside in a climate‑controlled environment but may be assigned to field duties and be subjected to various weather conditions that could include extreme heat or cold conditions.
