Base pay range: $46,907.00/yr - $67,010.00/yr.

This opportunity resides with Uncrewed Systems (UxS), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. Uncrewed Systems focuses on unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) and autonomy software. HII creates advanced unmanned solutions for defense, marine research and commercial applications.

• Procure raw materials, components, tooling, equipment and purchased services.
• Plan and schedule purchases for material orders.
• Negotiate agreements with suppliers to attain acceptable quality, best price and timely deliveries.
• Follow corporation policies and guidelines regarding ethical conduct of purchasing activities.
• Maintain contact with all markets and vendors through personal contact, professional associations and trade publications.
• Prepare vendor purchase orders and enter necessary information.
• Issue and monitor company quotation requests for all material to be purchased.
• Work within the cost reduction program aimed at lowering overall purchased goods costs.
• Use independent judgment and work with little to no direction.
• Maintain the Approved Suppliers files.
• Process approved requisitions in the ERP system.
• Source new suppliers based on policies and procedures for ISO 9001:2015 and government contract requirements.
• Manage procurement processes in compliance with FAR/DFAR regulations.
• Ensure all purchasing activities align with internal policies and procedures in support of CPSR audits.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 0 years experience with a Bachelors in a related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
