General Summary

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Procurement/Sourcing Manager for the Marketing Category. The role involves monitoring industry trends, consulting with business groups, managing supplier sourcing for services and products, conducting negotiations to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership, and overseeing supplier contracts and relationships.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of industry‑specific experience in Procurement, Operations, or related work.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Utilize industry trends, data analysis, and internal requirements to develop strategies that proactively identify optimization opportunities.
  • Support and drive execution of strategic sourcing plans and supplier spend management strategies, handling complex projects and contract negotiations.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with key business partners to understand their needs and serve as a trusted partner.
  • Establish and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, influencing processes, performance management, and policies.
  • Maintain accurate records, simplify processes, and contribute to program implementation and change management across Indirect Procurement.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, manage remediation of sourcing issues, and communicate regularly with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Act as a procurement subject‑matter expert in consulting with business to develop and deploy best practices.
  • Develop accurate Statements of Work and other governing agreements.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts Team to ensure agreements follow Qualcomm legal protocols.
  • Lead sourcing‑related activities for the marketing category and manage the support team.
  • Develop category strategies and formalize engagement with the supply base.
  • Participate in organizational planning, interpreting business strategies, and setting strategic plans across multiple functions.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
  • Lead teams to identify stakeholder needs based on procurement processes and business goals.
  • Manage multiple cross‑functional teams and projects, contributing to category strategy.
  • Leverage technical expertise to identify trends, perform market and financial analysis, and define future solutions.
  • Guide teams to implement high‑impact go‑to‑market procurement strategies across business units.
  • Oversee creation of supplier selection criteria to align products or services with stakeholder needs.
  • Apply established methods and training for sourcing mechanisms; review supplier feedback and communicate expectations.
  • Develop robust negotiation strategies and oversee supplier activities to align with organizational objectives.
  • Review assigned projects, determine analysis levels, and allocate work across the team; address escalation as needed.

  • 1+ year in a leadership role (if applicable).
  • Experience developing and executing strategic sourcing category plans.
  • Experience working in a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment.
  • Understanding of international markets and global sourcing strategy.
  • Familiarity with relevant software or technology used in sourcing and procurement.
  • High emotional intelligence and exceptional communication skills.
  • Certifications or advanced degrees in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field (plus).
Pay Range and Other Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $ – $

Additional compensation includes a competitive discretionary bonus program and opportunities for annual RSU grants.
