Overview

Automotive Mechanic Technician II – $1,500 New Hire Tool Bonus – join Cox Automotive Inc. to perform high‑quality vehicle maintenance and repairs for a mid‑to high‑level technician. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, cost control, and independent or team work.

• Perform preventive maintenance: oil changes, filter replacements, transmission flush, and vehicle inspections for mechanical deficiencies.
• Conduct complex repairs and advanced diagnostics. Repair or replace OBD II systems, brake components, tires, suspension, aerial lifts, electrical systems, engine, and drive‑line components.
• Maintain a clean shop area. Follow safety standards and dispose of all fluids safely in accordance with all regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex hydraulic systems, generators, electrical systems, hybrids, and on‑board computer systems.
• Exceed standard quality expectations. Act proactively without supervisor prompting, and perform tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• 3–5 years of vehicle service and repair experience; 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Availability for weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
• Commitment to continuous training to keep pace with automotive technology changes.
• Physical ability: stand, walk, reach, talk, hear; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, climb frequently required.
• ASE certifications (or equivalent) is a plus.
• Vision requirements: close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment capabilities.

Hourly base pay $23.65–$35.48 per hour. Additional compensation may include commission, incentive programs, and/or annual or monthly bonuses.

Employees receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays annually. Additional paid time off includes bereavement leave, voting leave, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
