We’re partnering with a high-growth, locally owned CPA firm in Boston that has expanded 25% year-over-year through organic client demand—not acquisitions. This is a newly created role due to continued growth, not replacement hiring.

Despite rapid expansion, leadership has been intentional about investing ahead of growth: improving processes, staffing appropriately, and protecting culture. The result is a sustainable workload, reduced busy season hours, and consistently low turnover.

This role is designed for an experienced Tax Senior who is comfortable owning engagements end-to-end and serving as a trusted point of contact for clients.

You’ll work closely with managers and partners, take the lead on complex returns, and play an active role in mentoring junior staff. This is not a stepping-stone role — it’s a chance to make an immediate impact with clear visibility and a defined path forward.

• Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120-S, 1120)
• Act as primary contact for assigned clients, handling questions and proactive guidance
• Manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and deliverables independently
• Support tax research and planning initiatives
• Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide coaching/feedback
• Collaborate with leadership on process improvements as the firm scales

• 3–6+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Strong experience with pass-through entities and individual returns
• Comfortable reviewing returns and mentoring junior staff
• Ability to manage client relationships with minimal oversight
• CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred

• $85,000–$100,000 base + $5,000 sign-on bonus
