Quality Inspector - FPI

The FPI Inspector reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and ensures parts meet customer specifications through inspection, measurement, and documentation. The role includes loading/unloading parts, performing FPI tests, maintaining testing solutions, cleaning parts, and reporting labor hours via the ERP system.

• Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications.
• Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring Bakan and equipment as necessary, such as borescopes, rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers. (A MUST HAVE)
• Perform and document the scheduled FPI test log and reports.
• Maintain, test, and replenish dipping solutions.
• Clean parts using chemical degreaser andវ parts wash machine.
• Prep parts using specialized material.
• Inspect parts using ultraviolet light.
• Report proper labor hours in the ERP system.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
• Follow all Hi‑Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain a working relationship with Quality and Engineering.

• Must meet the ITAR definition of 120.15 U.S. person.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Level I FPI certificate with the ability to obtain Level II FPI certification.
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment; aerospace industry preferred.
• Experience with Repair and Overhaul FPI Inspection.
• Experience with other NDT fields, i.e., X‑Ray.
• Troubleshooting/problem‑solving skills.

Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required with the ability to pass the annual vision test. Perform under AS9100 standards and NADCAP accreditation. Lift, push, and/or pull up to thirty‑five pounds regularly. Operate overhead crane or other lifting equipment when necessary. Stand at least 50% of the scheduled shift.

Walk or sit as needed to perform job duties. Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials.
