Claims Processor Mason, OH - Hybrid: 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) 2 Months contract (Potential for Long-Term / Conversion) BACKFILL Role Position Overview

The Claims Processor will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing routine vision insurance claims using various insurance portals. This role supports the centralized billing initiative for Team Vision and plays a key part in ensuring timely, accurate claims adjudication while maintaining high quality and productivity standards.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, designed to support the centralized Team Vision operations in Mason, OH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently process standard, non-complex vision insurance claims and adjustments
  • Consistently meet or exceed internal performance metrics related to productivity, cycle time, and quality
  • Participate in non-complex claims projects or special initiatives, including network-related efforts
  • Quickly understand and implement processing changes related to new plans or benefit designs
  • Collaborate with supervisors and cross‑functional teams to deliver strong customer service
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders including Account Managers, Operations, Information Systems, Client Representatives, and leadership
  • Proactively work with management to address performance gaps and develop self‑improvement plans when needed
Required Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong data entry and claims processing skills
  • Basic knowledge of claims adjudication and third‑party benefits administration
  • Working knowledge of claims processing systems such as Eye Med claims system, Metastorm, Exclaim, and Eye Net (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; basic knowledge of Access is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
Experience Requirements
  • 0–1 year of experience in claims processing or data entry
  • Basic knowledge of PC usage and spreadsheet applications
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
