Lead/Senior UX Designer (W2 Only)
Location:

Job Overview:
This role is a lead user experience designer responsible for designing a modern accessible online claims portal for one of our vision‑care customers.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the single point of contact for all user experience design‑related activities and deliverables.
- Conduct an expert design review of the process flows in Phase 2 of the work as part of the current claims portal to identify usability gaps in its user interface design.
- Leverage foundational design principles and components that were created in Phase 1 to ensure continuity into Phase 2 of the work.
- Interview the claims portal product owner to document business goals, needs, priorities, and processes.
- Interview primary and secondary users to capture roles, usage frequency, tools, critical features, problems, needs, and expectations.
- Synthesize data from business and user interviews to review and extend the user task flow diagram, create additional user personas (if needed), extend the Phase 1 user journey map, and present findings to business stakeholders.
- Based on business objectives and user needs captured in Phase 2, review and extend the UX strategy for designing the modern online claims portal and seek stakeholder approval.
- Review and extend the Information Architecture of the modern claims portal, including interface structure, navigation model, and search capabilities.
- Create rapid interactive design prototypes of new claims portal modules in compliance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
- Present prototypes to business stakeholders for approval.
- Conduct usability testing of prototypes with users; document feedback and iterate on the prototype.
- Create final UI designs in compliance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA and customer branding; hand off to the UI integration team.
- After UI integration, review in test environment, report any UI issues requiring fix.
- Conduct further usability tests of the integrated UI in test environment if needed, document feedback.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
- 10‑12 years of relevant experience in User Experience Strategy and Design.
- Experience in Design Thinking Framework, Design Systems, and Agile design sprint frameworks.
- Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe XD; collaboration tools such as Miro, Mural, Confluence, Jira; and design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Strong understanding of UX processes from requirement gathering to high‑fidelity wireframes.
- Ability to simplify complex information into clear, tangible outputs.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
UX Design Portfolio is a must for review.
