- Responsible for leading engineering teams in the planning, development, execution, and support of aerospace and defense programs for U.S. military customers.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, systems, and software).
- Build technical capability within the team and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Provide technical expertise and oversight for military program engineering activities from concept through delivery and sustainment.
- Ensure projects meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements while maintaining compliance with U.S. DoD standards and customer expectations.
- Act as the engineering focal point for program managers, customers, and senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with applicable military standards, specifications, and quality regulations (e.g., MIL-STD, AS9100).
- Collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and operations to resolve technical issues.
- Represent engineering in customer meetings, design reviews, and audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
- 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense programs, requirements, and acquisition processes.
- Experience leading engineering teams on complex military or aerospace programs.
- Working knowledge of relevant industry and military standards (MIL-STD, ITAR, DFARS, AS9100).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision‑making skills.
- Customer‑centric mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Continuous improvement orientation with a focus on measurable outcomes.
