Elementary (P-3) Teacher

The International Academy of Cincinnati, West Chester, Ohio serves students from preschool through 8th grade and is dedicated to cultivating excellence in education. The Academy is currently seeking an Elementary Teacher with the following qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in education

* State of Ohio teaching license or the willingness to complete courses to transfer another state licensure.

* Ability to work with diverse groups

* Computer skills for maintaining student records and reports

* Strong communication skills both written and verbal

The elementary teacher is responsible for creating a safe, healthy learning environment that will support the social and emotional development of children. The teacher will plan and implement instructional content in a manner that meets the educational needs of students with varying abilities. The teacher will establish and maintain effective classroom control in a manner that allows students to remain constructively on task.

The teacher will design and employ a variety of objective and consistent assessment techniques when evaluating learning or development. The teacher will assist students in developing responsibility and exercising self-discipline.
