• Location: Mason City, IA 50401 (north-central Iowa) — Iowa nursing jobs, Mason City healthcare
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (On-Site)
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown 6W (Cardiac Telemetry / Stepdown Unit)
• Start Date: March 23, 2026
• End Date: June 21, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — travel RN / Iowa RN friendly
• Ability to complete required onboarding, health screenings, and competency assessments
• Up-to-date immunizations required for onboarding (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, TB/PPD or IGRA)
• Successful background check and drug screening
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• Comfortable documenting in an electronic medical record (EMR) and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown/Telemetry unit
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry and other monitoring equipment
• Administer medications, IV infusions, and prescribed cardiac treatments safely and accurately
• Deliver post-cardiac procedure and post-operative stepdown care, including hemodynamic monitoring and wound/drain management
• Perform admissions, assessments, and ongoing clinical evaluations for stepdown patients
• Coordinate care with cardiology, critical care, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary teams
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes clearly and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate patients and families on cardiac diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions to support safe transitions of care
• Adhere to facility policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols
