Hours:
7:00 p.m.
- 7:30 a.m., every 3rd weekend, every other Holiday.
This position accepts the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care with the multidisciplinary team while using the nursing process and maintaining professional nursing standards. NICU Nurse is specifically responsible for the care of the well and ill newborn who may require neonatal intensive care services. Birth Center and Pediatrics are considered "sister" units and staff are expected to float between these units.

Position QualificationsCurrent RN licensure in the state of Iowa or recent RN graduate
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Experience:
Previous experience in well or ill newborn, and/or obstetric care and/or acute care preferred.
- Preferred certification in low risk neonatal nursing care or professional certification related to clinical specialty (from Magnet approved certification[s]).
- Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual able to work with minimum supervision.
