Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse – CVOR provides specialized perioperative nursing care for open-heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures
. This role supports surgeons and the surgical team by performing both scrub and circulating functions
, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care before, during, and after surgery. The RN CVOR works in a fast-paced operating room environment requiring advanced clinical skills and strong collaboration.

- Perform scrub duties, including selection, handling, and management of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Perform circulating duties, including monitoring patient status and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist surgeons directly with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for scheduled procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with OR safety standards.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and perioperative team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document perioperative care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR or open-heart surgery experience required.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state license or compact license
