Position: Physician- Endocrinologist- Mason City, Iowa- $100,000 bonus!

Overview

Mercy One North Iowa Endocrinology, Weight Loss, & Diabetes –

Employment Type:

Full time. Outpatient only opportunity with a very busy practice; minimal call (phone only).

Responsibilities
  • Join a team of 2 physicians and 5 ARNPs.
  • Outpatient only practice.
  • Manage diabetes care (Type I & II), pump and sensor therapy, diabetes education, medical nutrition therapy, pump starts, and full-spectrum endocrinology and weight loss services.
  • Teaching opportunity for Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residents, ARNP/PA students, and medical students.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $286,989 per year.
  • Bonus package: $100,000.
  • Moving allowance:
    Up to $15,000.
  • Benefits start on day 1 of employment.
  • CME: $6,000/year.
  • Health/Dental/Vision, short/long-term disability.
  • Two retirement plans – 403(b) and 457(b) with match.
  • Paid malpractice & tail coverage.
  • Generous PTO package.
Practice Location & Community

Mercy One North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City, Iowa. Endocrinology clinic located at a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital with access to specialists, lab, radiology, pharmacy, and other services. Regional health system serves 14 counties with 7 critical access hospitals and 42 clinics in northern Iowa.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved medical or osteopathic medical school; demonstrated competency by completion of an appropriate residency; board certified or board eligible.
  • Must be able to obtain Mercy North Iowa medical staff privileges.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a team.
  • Licensed or eligible for Iowa physician license;
    Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
