Overview

Working with the Director of Organizational Advancement and related volunteer committees, the Advancement Associate will advance Community Health Center's mission by helping the department meet strategic goals related to fundraising, communications, outreach and event planning.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates communications efforts to help build awareness and support fundraising efforts for Community Health Center, including creating and sending internal/external newsletters and press releases, managing website content and updates, and overseeing social media channels and posts.
  • Acts as a main point of contact for fundraising events (golf tournament, others) including outreach, soliciting, obtaining gifts and thanking.
  • Researches and pursues new avenues and outlets for organizational support, including potential business sponsors, foundations and individual donors.
  • Uses Raisers Edge database and other resources, for gift tracking, acquisition and donor/partner communication updates.
  • Works with the Advancement team and volunteer committees to ensure departmental goals and metrics are reached.
  • Stays knowledgeable about CHC programs and initiatives to be able to communicate with internal and external audiences.
  • Participates in education, outreach and special events in the community to help advance Community Health Center’s visibility.
  • Coordinates relationships with outside vendors.
  • Serves as a frontline team member for questions and requests, including in-person, phone and email advancement inquiries.
  • Performs other duties as required, to help advance the mission of Community Health Center through fundraising, Communications And Outreach Efforts.
Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate will be mission-driven, with a bachelor’s degree and demonstrated strong communication skills within diverse social media platforms. Microsoft Office Proficiency required, with Constant Contact, Canva and Raiser's Edge experience a strong plus as well as health care and/or fundraising. Strong project management skills in a deadline-driven environment with competing priorities.
