ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via our myTime mobile scheduling app.
When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. Active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours) is required; failure to respond or to work may lead to termination. After that, the myTime app is where you pick shifts you desire to work. All other duties based on business needs.
ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT:
Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. This includes in-store and digital services and solutions with awareness of capabilities that drive adoption and guest loyalty.
AS A GUEST ADVOCATE:
No two days are the same, but a typical day will include: achieving service standards, greeting guests, assisting with needs, knowing tools, products, and services to solve guest issues, handling returns per policy, endorsing Target Loyalty programs, and supporting order pick up, drive up and registry guests. Maintain a clean work area, stock as needed, and follow safety and compliance practices.
As part of the role, you may participate in training and use of Target’s systems and tools, including Wallet, Target App, and handheld devices.

Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing tasks.
- Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
- Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards and company practices.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Inform guests about brand launches, store activities, and events.
- Explain benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; be familiar with fulfillment services and direct guests accordingly.
- Demonstrate how to use Wallet and other features in the Target App.
- Handle returns and follow register prompts, escalating to leaders when needed while following policies.
- De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience per policy.
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as OPU, Drive-Up, and returns, including compliance with adult beverage laws where applicable.
- Support Cash Office processes as needed.
