Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a TN or compact RN license and recent Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital environment
- Night shifts are scheduled as three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
- Caring for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Weekend coverage is required as part of the schedule
- Floating to other units is required based on skill set and demonstrated competency
- Epic EMR is used and a minimum of one year of experience with Epic is required
- Primary responsibilities include delivering comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg Tele patients
- Must complete pre-assignment testing and required training modules within 48 hours of receiving login information
- Modules for orientation and annual requirements are to be completed prior to start and are billable up to 16 hours
- Orientation is held every Monday
- Holiday coverage may be required according to the hospital schedule
- A minimum separation of six months is required before returning as a traveler after three consecutive contracts with the organization
- Active RN license that is either TN or compact
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- At least one year of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience
- Minimum of one year of current experience working with Epic EMR
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible
- Two professional references are required for consideration
