Job DescriptionJob Summary
Under limited supervision, configures, maintains and monitors payroll integrations. Leads process and system improvement activities to help improve Payroll and overall NA Finance and Accounting department efficiency. Provides systems support to payroll specialists/processors. Responsible for sharing payroll knowledge and best practices.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConfiguration of timekeeping and payroll systems.
Monitor data feeds from source systems into payroll and timekeeping as well as monitor outbound data feeds to other systems and third party vendors.
Trouble shoot errors with data feeds and resolve
Maintains documentation on business processes, configurations and other materials.
Creates more complex end user reports, analyzes the data within and compiles the data in requested formats for management/executive reporting.
Recommends and supports management with more complex system modifications to meet the changing needs of the department. Tests system modifications/programming changes. Updates internal work processes/jobs aids resulting from systems changes. Trains other associates on systems changes.
Collaborates with human resources operations and cross functional teams to define business requirements for required or requested changes.
Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to end users and communicates status to relevant stakeholders.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications5+ Years of experience in Accounting , or a related field
Bachelor's degree in Finance , Accounting, or related field ( A combination of years of experience and education can be considered )
Experience with payroll and timekeeping systems configuration and integrations, including ADP and Kronos.
Understanding of elements of payroll and timekeeping systems such as schedules, pay codes, pay rules, calendars etc.
Strong Technical skills with Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Skills and AbilitiesUnderstanding of multi-jurisdictional entities (federal, state and local compliance)
Excellent knowledge of or experience with payroll and timekeeping systems, including report writing tools
Excellent analytical skills, with an ability to gather and summarize payroll systems and/or payroll data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with internal and external customers on issues of moderate to considerable importance, up to and including senior management
Strong ability to foster and maintain relationships with an ability to work as part of a cross functional team
Excellent customer service skills. Ability to promote and support a service-oriented environment
Strong negotiation skills. Ability to defend position strongly while keenly aware of the need to maximize benefits for all sides
Proven ability to complete multiple assigned project tasks while also successfully performing daily essential duties
Ability to apply process improvement planning and checking to own work output, and to assist others with identifying gaps in work results
