The Front Desk Lodge Host is responsible for cultivating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for lodge guests by providing world‑class customer service. Working as part of a team and independently, the host creates a stress‑free environment for guests and facilitators that visit the lodge.

Responsibilities
  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone
  • Assists with guest check‑in and directs guests to proper area upon arrival
  • Engages with guests to answer questions or assist with resolving any concerns/complaints
  • Assists guests with any last‑minute requests or desires to make their visit more enjoyable
  • Answers phone, emails, guest requests, referring inquiries to the appropriate team member as necessary
  • Assists with computer and copy/office services for guests
  • Ensures elements of the lodge are ready before guests arrive
  • Assists team with AM guest needs
  • Ensures inventory of office supplies and updates inventory sheet when inventory is completed
  • Receives packages, deliveries and shipments and ensures they are delivered to correct team
  • Maintains safety and security by following procedures, monitoring visitor/vendor log, issuing visitor badges and keys
  • Is well versed in lodge property, local area and main office
  • Provides live Monscierge and Canva assistance
  • Ensures Opera stays up to date by aiding the Cabin Coordinator and Events teams throughout the day
  • Assists Events Team with setup, day‑of tasks and cleanup as needed
  • Conducts AM walk‑through at the beginning of shift of all common spaces to ensure cleanliness and readiness for the next day
  • Ensures the lodge is locked and TV/heaters/fireplace is off after events
  • Performs regular check of the restrooms and hand towels
  • Assists Guest Services teams with special projects, ordering and seasonal decor changes
  • Actively participates in Guest Service Team meetings
  • Assists Guest Services team with all transportation needs (booking vehicles, categorizing/updating the calendar, sending appropriate information, keeping track of keys)
  • Assists with cleaning the two lodge golf carts, ensuring cleanliness before the end of day
  • Assists with transportation to and from the airport as needed
  • Assists the Guest Services Manager with gassing the vehicles as needed and the cleanliness of vehicles and golf carts
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1‑3 years related experience required
  • Guest Service or in‑person customer service experience
  • Problem‑solving skills are a must
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Friendly, welcoming, and professional disposition required
  • Basic phone and computer skills required
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and/or requests to accommodate guests
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi‑task and prioritize assignments
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to work with minimal direction
  • Self‑starter
  • Team player
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
  • Ability to lift 20+ lbs
  • Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email and in person, and exchange accurate information with others
  • Primarily works in an indoor, temperature‑controlled, sealed‑window office environment
  • Work primarily involves sitting/standing
