Overview
Maryville Pharmacy Technician II - Medication History
MV-Pharmacy
• PRN Status
• Variable Shift
• Pay: $19.40 - $28.13 / hour
- The Pharmacy Technician II-Medication History works under the direct supervision of licensed pharmacists to obtain medication history information for patients admitted to the hospital.
- Interacts with patients and other caregivers with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in documentation in Electronic Medical Record.
- Performs duties with the pharmacy including, but not limited to, medication distribution, intravenous admixture, pharmacy automation, and general pharmacy service operations.
- Under the supervision of the pharmacist, assists in the preparation and distribution of medications utilizing automation, packaging, labeling, charging, compounding, data entry, and delivery.
- H.S. Diploma required.
- Application with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern (Intern license required if currently enrolled in a school of pharmacy) upon hire is required.
- Registration (completion) with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician OR Pharmacy Intern (Intern license required if currently enrolled in a school of pharmacy) within 75 days of hire is required.
- Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. Intravenous admixture, unit-dose, pharmacy automation knowledge is preferred.
