Overview

The UI/UX Designer III is a senior role within the UI/UX job family focusing on delivering best-in-class user experiences for internal and external users. This position translates complex designs and concepts into streamlined designs and capabilities and serves as a subject matter expert in the field.

Responsibilities
  • Experience and knowledge of UX principles, methodologies, and design best practices, including user-centered design, user research methodologies, and accessibility standards.
  • Research and gather in-depth insights into users’ needs using techniques such as user observation, group facilitation, and storyboarding.
  • Create wireframes, design specifications, prototypes, and user flow diagrams that articulate complex journeys across multiple webpages, touchpoints, and platforms.
  • Translate complex business processes into simple, logical, easy-to-use systems; design page structure and content organization.
  • Work with product and development teams to define user requirements.
  • Ensure design standards and guidelines are maintained and shared with development teams to guide product design.
  • Demonstrate strong active listening and collaboration skills; influence others to align with a common vision.
  • Understand project management approaches and tools (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and experience with JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent documentation tools.
  • Participate in end-to-end design reviews with project teams and lead UX discussions with project teams.
  • Consider existing insights, technical constraints, business needs, and platform demands to produce user-centered, data-driven, design-focused solutions.
  • Advocate and evangelize user-centered design and research best practices.
  • Create tools to guide teams toward usable and intuitive design; partner with cross-functional teams to establish cohesive design standards across the enterprise.
  • Mentor and coach team members on usability and design best practices.
Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • 4+ years of recent experience in visual design craftsmanship, with the ability to anticipate and address user needs.
  • Professional level knowledge of industry-standard design software (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience with integration platforms such as Marketing Cloud, Salesforce, Appian or similar.
  • Experience with both public-facing and internally facing web applications.
  • Experience in responsive frontend development (HTML, CSS, Sass, etc.) and familiarity with design systems (e.g., Material Design).
