Overview

Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Marysville, Washington.

• Hourly Pay: $31.00 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus:
  Ryder pays you up to $500 every quarter
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday; weekends off
• First Shift: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
• Annual merit pay increases every year

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
• Routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, brake and tire work
• Two (2) years or more of combined classroom training and work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass a Ryder drug test, a DOT physical, a Ryder road test, and a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (last 3 years)

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment when applicable
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs as required
• Replaces defective components as instructed
• Performs facility maintenance duties
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the complaint
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Works in compliance with safety, DOT, and corporate guidelines
• Performs other support duties as required
