Base pay range$19.00/hr - $22.00/hr
Responsibilities- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring floors/stock rooms are ready for business.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members.
- Hold store keys to open/close without management as necessary.
- Assist and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering process and open backdoor for vendor deliveries.
- Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including scans errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
- Review order exceptions on order release day, assist in reverse logistics.
- Evaluate and develop displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise. Complete resets and revisions.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts for on‑hand quantities, including basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
- Ensure Outdate program is followed with team members.
- Responsible for basic department pricing and daily price changes; ensure signage supports accurate pricing.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities: cash report, cash counts, ledgers, bill payment.
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to keep store clean, neat, orderly; request repairs as required.
- Assist with separation of food items and product placement per policies.
- Knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Assist at Pharmacy outlet window as requested.
- Ensure compliance with state/local laws around regulated products.
- Responsible for bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
- Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members when management absent.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
