Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
  • Serve as the front-line manager to develop tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives.
  • Advance knowledge and skills to excel as a resource on tax topics and products for associates.
  • Partner with District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
  • Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
  • Serve as the point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and ensure clients are scheduled properly with conflicts resolved.
  • Lead daily activities to ensure work is completed on time with quality standards and aligned with priorities and goals.
  • Train and coach associates to execute Service Standards, recognizing outstanding contributions, and lead daily team meetings.
  • Create associate work schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management.
  • Prepare tax returns, as required.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or a similar role.
  • Experience supervising or managing people.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
  • Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Customer-centric mindset with resilience and a drive to contribute.
  • Flexible work schedule and adaptability to business needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
Pay Range

$15.00 - $65.00/Hr.
