The City of Marysville, WA is seeking a Community Development Director for this vibrant community of 76,209 that blends small-town warmth with the convenience and energy of a growing city. The City of Marysville is a full-service city serving a population of 76,209 across 20 square miles with a 2025 budget of $213 million and a team of 389 FTEs. Departments include Executive, Legal, HR, Finance, Information & Geographic Systems, Engineering Services, Community Development, Police Department, Marysville Municipal Court, Utilities & Maintenance Services, and Parks, Culture, & Recreation.

Reporting to the City Administrator, the Community Development Director is responsible for the overall vision and direction of the Community Development Department. This includes strategic and administrative oversight of activities and programs including planning, land development, construction inspection, electrical inspection, permitting and licensing, civil development review, commute trip reduction (CTR), and community development block grant (CDBG). The Director serves as the City’s SEPA Responsible Official, and Shoreline Administrator.
