Position: Registered Nurse | Surgery (1st shift) | 10 or 12 hour shifts available
Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy or OR and PACU available

1st shift, on call rotation required

Full-Time and Part Time Available

Seeking individuals who have Ophthalmology experience

What You'll Do:

* Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver specialized patient care.

* Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and efficient care delivery.

* Provide one-on-one patient care immediately following ophthalmic surgeries until discharge criteria are met.

* Demonstrate teamwork by actively participating in patient care and providing exceptional clinical and emotional support.

What You'll Bring/Requirements:

* Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the state of Ohio.

* Previous experience in Operating Room (OR) and/or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) preferred, especially in Ophthalmology.

* Proficiency or willingness to learn and work in all perioperative areas including Outpatient Surgery, OR, PACU, and Endoscopy.

* Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within six months of hire.

* Ability to participate in on-call duties with a response time of less than 45 minutes.

* Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing compassionate patient care.

* Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.

* Dedication to teamwork and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

* Adherence to professional standards and ethical principles in nursing practice.

Other Requirements

* Consistent, reliable attendance

* Completion of mandatory training, health requirements, and in-services (team training, safety, infection control, etc.)

* Compliance with hospital and departmental Ethics and Compliance programs, including promptly reporting variances through the proper channels
