Position
Medical Equipment Technician at DASCO Home Medical Equipment.
DescriptionThe Medical Equipment Technician is responsible for timely, efficient, courteous, and service‑oriented delivery and assembly (when appropriate) of medical equipment and supplies. The role educates patients and/or caregivers on equipment use, maintenance, and benefits. Additionally, the Technician performs warehouse and inventory tasks, completes required documentation, and may be cross‑trained for coverage in the office.

Essential Functions- Deliver medical equipment and supplies, educate patients/caregivers, and complete all required paperwork.
- Maintain compliance logs, records, and receipts per policy and procedure.
- Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations (HIPAA, Joint Commission, FDA, OSHA, ORCB, state Pharmacy and Respiratory Boards, state Departments of Transportation, infection control guidelines, and oxygen transportation laws); report compliance or safety issues.
- Provide after‑hours coverage with other Technicians.
- Support training of new Technicians as requested by the manager.
- Identify patient needs and revenue opportunities and convey them to Customer Service Representatives.
- Maintain vehicle by unloading, cleaning, and completing daily and quarterly maintenance manifests.
- Maintain warehouse, inventory levels, and equipment cleanliness and repair per policy and procedure.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the branch office manager.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Residential delivery driver experience.
- Customer Service experience in a medical/insurance/healthcare setting.
Valid driver’s license with a qualified driving record as determined by DASCO’s auto insurance carrier review.

Full‑time, Monday through Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, subject to change by the local branch office manager. Requires periodic after‑hours (overnight and weekend) on‑call shifts as determined by schedule.
Supervisory ResponsibilityNo supervisory role.
Work EnvironmentPrimarily driving, delivering, and setting up equipment in patient residences, outdoor weather conditions, hospitals, and warehouses. Occasional office work and use of standard office equipment.
Physical DemandsRequires frequent standing, bending, climbing or balancing; may stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must lift and/or move up to 25 lb regularly and up to 150 lb occasionally. Requires good vision, including close and distance vision and depth perception.
TravelDaily travel required for deliveries; overnight travel may be required for orientation and continuing education.
