The City of Marysville is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join the senior management team to serve as City Engineer
. The City Engineer acts as the municipality’s primary technical authority for infrastructure, providing vision and oversight for the Engineering Department. This role balances technical management with the supervision of personnel, capital budgets, and public infrastructure. As an at-will executive position appointed by the City Manager, the City Engineer is central
to the city’s long-term physical and economic development.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serves as the primary technical advisor to the City Manager and City Council directing Engineering Department staff to align infrastructure with the City’s Strategic Plan and Master Plans.
  • Leads the planning, prioritization, and execution of the City’s annual multi-million- dollar Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and infrastructure expansion projects.
  • Oversees the design, review, and construction of public improvements (whether publicly or privately funded) while providing expert guidance on community planning and land development.
Required Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensure:
    Must possess a valid license to practice as a registered Professional Engineer (PE) issued by the State of Ohio.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in engineering design, public capital projects, and private land development.
