Overview
The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Probation Aide in the Probation department. Under general supervision, the incumbent will assist professional and technical staff in providing a variety of casework and program support associated with the monitoring of adult and juvenile probationer cases; provide routine and structured office, community and client support to department programs including completing necessary forms and documents, serving notices, conducting diligent searches, and providing support for deputized probation officers;
and related work as assigned.

- Perform related tasks as assigned to support program operations.
MINIMUM: Thirty (30) semester units from an accredited college with coursework in behavioral or social sciences, psychology, criminal justice or related field and one (1) year of client support services experience which has involved client interaction, community outreach, face to face interviews, making referrals, and/or maintaining case records.
PREFERRED: In addition to the minimum, Associate’s degree from an accredited college with major coursework in behavioral or social sciences, psychology, criminal justice or related field and additional years of experience working with juvenile or adult offenders, children and families, the elderly, disabled, and/or dependent adults or within the criminal justice field.
Licenses and Certification- The ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver's license within ten (10) days of employment; maintain throughout employment.
- May be required to work outside normal working hours including evenings, weekends and other off-hours shifts.
- Must successfully complete an extensive and thorough background investigation which may include Live Scan fingerprinting prior to hire.
- DMV printout prior to hire.
- Will be required to perform disaster service activities pursuant to Government Code .
Salary/Compensation: $4,098 - $4,508 per month
